Relevé Dance Competitions is dedicated to providing young dancers with the opportunity to develop skills that will last a lifetime. Participants walk away with a sense of accomplishment knowing that their hard work and dedication towards something they love as much as dance is appreciated and enjoyed. The discipline and commitment it takes to achieve better performances will carry over to every aspect of a young dancer’s life.
Named as one of the best 25 dance teams in the Country, the BYU Cougarettes have established themselves as a perennial powerhouse in the Collegiate Dance Team World. They have garnered 8 National Dance Team titles over the past 13 years. The Cougarette mission is to provide a wholesome environment for dedicated dancers to grow and develop as artists and athletes as well as to maintain the spiritual focus and atmosphere of Brigham Young University and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Cougarettes can be seen providing entertainment and cheering at various Brigham Young University athletic events. The Cougarettes take very seriously the opportunity to serve as role models in their genre of dance and to serve in the community.
The UVU Dance Team has competed Nationally for the past 12 years in both the USA and NDA National Collegiate Championships. They have consecutively placed in the top 5 in the last 4 years and have also won the innovative choreography award. The UVU Dance Team is a team whos main purpose and goal is to provide spirit and entertainment at all home Athletic events. In addition the UVU Dance Team performs at several other campus and community events. They also producue their annual UVU Dance Team in Concert which gives the students an opportunity to choreograph and perform student and guest choreographed pieces. Yearly the UVU Dance Team participates in Sub-4-Santa and has also been involved with the volunteer elementary school program "It's Ok How I Feel Today" created by Carly Condie. The UVU Dance Team was the official dance team for the 2002 Winter Olympics at the Peaks Arena in Provo, Utah. The UVU Dance Team recently won a Gold Bid to Nationals at NDA Summer Camp as well as receving a 2nd place trophy at the NDA National Competition in Daytona, Florida in 2010.
