Emry Wride

Emry’s passion for dance started at the age of three. She has extensively trained in ballet, jazz, gymnastics and contemporary/lyrical dance. Her talent in dance is reflected in her drive and dedication that have led her to many top honors and accomplishments. As a sophomore member of Pleasant Grove High School Vikettes, she was undefeated in solo competitions winning Overall Grand Champion in each competition as well. She was named Miss Teen Drill Utah and 1st Runner-up to Miss Teen Drill USA. She also won overall Best of the Best Champion at Miss Drill Dance USA. She has trained with Ballet West and many renowned teachers and choreographers on a personal level. She won 1st overall lyrical soloist at Hollywood Vibe Nationals, runner-up to Dancer of the Year and was named to their prestigious Senior Vibe Company, traveling as an ambassador and teaching assistant for Hollywood Vibe. She was named Utah’s Regional Outstanding Dancer at NYCDA, Overall Senior MVP at JUMP, Spotlight Cup Overall Soloist and Overall Grand Champion at Utah Studio Championship and Utah’s Dancefest for five years consecutively. She was named Dance Sterling Scholar at Pleasant Grove High School and awarded Runner-Up to Utah’s State Sterling Scholar in Dance, 2nd runner-up at the State Distinguished Young Woman program winning in talent, fitness, and interview. She was awarded a $15,000 cash scholarship from NYCDA for her dance education. She is currently attending Brigham Young University as a dance major. She is a first-year member of the 16-time National Champion BYU Cougarettes and loving it. She is also a first-year instructor for PDC.
